Dr Fatema Alhalwachi — also written Fatima Alhalwachi · د. فاطمة الحلواچي

I am a bilingual Arabic–English educator, applied linguist and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, with a doctorate from Birkbeck, University of London and fourteen years of university teaching. I bring that same academic rigour to advising the students and families I work with.

Mine is a deliberately personal, low-volume practice: I take on a limited number of students so that each receives my full attention. I believe in honesty above flattery — you will hear what is realistic and why, backed by current, verified research — and in advice given only in the student’s interest, never an institution’s. Every engagement is confidential, and delivered with a genuine understanding of Gulf, Arab and Muslim-majority family contexts, in Arabic or English.

For students who need Academic English or a Foundation Year before undergraduate study — level assessment, provider comparison, application, and support through to arrival.

Undergraduate Admissions

UCAS and direct entry (Year 1 or Year 2) — profile assessment, a shortlist of well-matched universities, personal statement, offer management, and visa guidance.

Postgraduate Taught

MSc, MA and MBA applications — programme research, personal statement drafting and editing, submissions, scholarship identification, and interview preparation.

🎓

Doctoral & PhD

My most specialist service — research question development, supervisor identification and contact, research proposal drafting, university targeting, and funded-PhD searches.

Individual services are also available on their own — personal statements, research proposals, supervisor identification, university shortlists, IELTS advisory, and one-to-one consultation sessions.

Every engagement begins with a complimentary 30-minute consultation.
